Ways to get Involved
There are many ways to become involved at First Church. As you become more familiar with our church, some of the opportunities to choose from are shown below.
If you haven’t already done so, you can sign up for the monthly email publication of The Church Window, which is a good way to see all that’s going on at First Church.
Or you can also sign up for Rev. Kevin’s weekly message, In the Spirit, by emailing him at KPleas@FCCManchesterNH.org.
There are numerous groups, large and small, who gather to experience social time together, build connections, and strengthen friendships. Anyone is always welcome and their activities are varied.
First Church offers Sunday School for our children, Confirmation Classes for our youth, and scripture discussions at the Pastor’s Class with Rev. Kevin.
First Church has a wonderful music program that is an integral part of our worship service. The Adult Chancel Choir and the Sabbath Bells adult hand bell choir rehearse on Wednesday evenings. The Peace Ringers Children’s Hand Bells, and the children’s choirs practice on Sundays after worship and sing occasionally in our worship service.
Please contact Adam Peithmann to discuss your interest in any of the choir groups.
Mission and Service
We work together to serve and support numerous local and global mission projects throughout the year. First Church also hosts classes for the English for New Americans program and frequently interacts with the students in evening conversations, occasional pot luck suppers, and joint projects. Scouts and AA are also hosted.
As you become more comfortable in worshiping with us, you may want to explore becoming a member of First Church. New Member Orientation events are held twice per year and hosted by the Membership Team.
If you are interested, please contact Rev. Kevin to learn about the next event.

Be part of the First Church Volunteer Day at the Special Olympics Summer Games at the UNH campus in Durham. We are looking for 50 volunteers...no experience necessary! Just a caring heart and the desire to help make our 4th year another success for the athletes!
Join us for Easter Sunday! Our Senior Pastor, Rev. Kevin Pleas, will lead the worship service at 10:00am in the Sanctuary. This week's sermon is titled "The Game of Skeptism". The reading is from John 20:1-10, 19-29.
Following worship, all are welcome to fellowship in the dining room.
Service of Prayer and Healing
Inspired by the Celtic Tradition, the roughly half-hour service will include music, readings, prayers and an opportunity to receive a “Laying on of Hands” blessing. Service will be held in the Chapel following the 10:00am worship service and fellowship, on the 2nd Sunday each month.
