Our Bylaws

In January 2015 a Bylaws Review Committee was formed for the purpose of reviewing and examining the current bylaws to determine if the bylaws accurately and effectively reflected who we were as a church. The Committee reviewed bylaws of other New Hampshire Congregational churches, adopting and adapting what would best serve our congregation.

After several meetings with the congregation, a return to the Council form of governance with a reorganization of church committees was recommended. This enabled a higher level of synergy and communication, with language that was more direct and procedures that were clear and more precise, better reflecting roles for a 21st century church and the inclusivity that is reflective of who we are. The new bylaws were approved by the congregation at the February 14, 2016 Annual Meeting; and are updated as needed.
