How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
—Isaiah 52:7

Dear Friends,

I don’t know how beautiful you would think my feet are, but there are lots of good things going on right now. I keep hearing about wonderful conversations and connections people are having with one another in the midst of our social isolating. We’re putting to good use a number of online platforms. We’re taking full advantage of our usual email, phone and website options. But we’ve now greatly expanded to include Facebook Live Streaming, Instagram, Zoom and Messaging. What a wild online world it suddenly is, and somewhat challenging to keep up. But how grateful I am to have so many choices when it comes to staying in touch.

I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback for our Sunday Hymn Sing and Facebook Live services. I’m also pleased with the Weekday Watch Prayer services I began on Monday. If you’re having any trouble finding your way to these offerings, please call or email. We’d love to help.

In addition, I’ve been asked to pass along the information below about our upcoming Christmas Fair. I love thinking about a time when we can be back together, back in our beautiful building, back engaged in our normal work of ministry. I hope Pam’s announcement will give you the same lift it gave me. There will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Yours in Grace,
Rev. Kevin

Surely by now you have heard that FCC is going to have a Christmas Fair on November 21 from 9 am – 3 pm. What you might not know is the name. It will be the “Holly Berry” Christmas Fair. Since we were not able to have our informational meeting as planned, Kevin is giving us the opportunity to announce our plans to everyone here on “In The Spirit.” Thank you very much Kevin.

Here is a list of our ideas and placements. You will see names next to some of the Shoppes, they have agreed to be the organizers. As you read down through the different Shoppes we hope you will find one area that interests you, either as an organizer or to help out.
